How to Prepare Before a Remote Tech Support Session
A little prep keeps a remote support session cleaner, safer, and faster: close private files, know the problem, and keep passwords to yourself.

The clean read
Before the session, write down what changed, what error you saw, what you already tried, and what you want fixed by the end.
What to check
Close unrelated private windows and files. If screen sharing is needed, you should be able to stop it at any time.
Next move
Keep passwords, one-time codes, full card numbers, and recovery keys private. If a login is needed, type it yourself on your own device.
Red flags
Have the device charged, connected to internet, and near you. If the issue is about billing or subscriptions, have the statement or app store screen available without exposing full payment details.
Keep it practical
A good session should end with a plain-English summary: what was checked, what changed, what is still unresolved, and what the next step is.
